Mimoh Chakraborty is currently seen in a pivotal role in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, which is streaming on Netflix. The actor is a part of the police unit, and his look is quite distinct, something the audience will find new. In fact, he revealed that he wanted to portray a tough and strong cop and took inspiration from Daya in CID.

Mimoh Chakraborty Took Inspiration From CID Daya For Khakee: The Bengal Chapter

He said, “The unit I am in is led by Jeetendra Madnani, popularly known as Jeet. In Haunted 2, the film I’m currently shooting with Vikram Sir, my appearance is completely different. But for Khakee, since I’m playing a cop, I have a moustache and flat hair.”

“I actually took a lot of inspiration from Daya from CID because I wanted to portray the muscle of the unit, the tough, strong cop. To achieve that, I worked hard on building a solid, intimidating physique through powerlifting and strength training. It wasn’t about getting a ripped body but about looking strong and powerful, as a cop should,” he added. However, he mentioned that unfortunately the audience might not notice much of his muscle in the show and added, “But I genuinely hope my transformation reflects well on screen when the show comes out.”

Mimoh Chakraborty On His Role

Asked if Mimoh ever felt insecure about his role in the presence of such stalwarts, he said, “No, I wasn’t insecure at all because I was clear about my role. I knew exactly what I was getting into and understood my character’s journey from the first episode to the last. I was aware of my responsibilities, my scenes, and what was expected of me.”

“What made me even more comfortable was my love for the story. The story itself is the biggest star of the series. Neeraj Sir, along with our directors Tushar Da and Debatma Da, have done an absolutely magnificent job. Their brilliance and dedication are the real driving forces behind the show. It was an amazing experience, and I felt no insecurity because I knew the role I had auditioned for, and it was the role I genuinely wanted. I’m very happy to be a part of this show,” he ended.
