It’s rare to see a wholesome romantic drama continue its journey with the same enthusiasm it did at the time of its release! And Fitoor is a film of that league. Starring Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur, the film completes a decade of its release, and even still, it continues to remain relevant. To celebrate 10 years of Fitoor, producer Pragya Kapoor recalls how the film made her fall in love with filmmaking.
Pragya Kapoor Celebrates 10 Years Of Fitoor
Taking to Instagram, Pragya Kapoor shared a video reminiscing about producing the Abhishek Kapoor directorial. While the video sees her talking her heart out about the making, she captioned the post, “A first that will always be the closest to my heart. Thank you to the entire team and to everyone who continues to love this film even today!”
Kapoor looks back at Fitoor, revealing that the film’s script has taught her about filmmaking in abundance. She says, “I remember the first time that I read Fitoor, it’s written by Abhishek Kapoor and Supratik Sen. That script is a masterclass in script writing. I’ve read a lot of scripts since then, before that and I think I have learned so much about filmmaking from that script. Honestly, it’s one of our best-written scripts till date.”
Additionally, Pragya Kapoor expresses how Fitoor made her fall in love with producing, becoming one of the reasons for her to produce films. She notes, “Fitoor opened my eyes to what producing is. It made me fall in love with producing, and it’s one of the reasons I am producing. Those visuals and music is still relevant, and people are still posting about it, are still being nostalgic about it. And I think that’s the beauty of filmmaking. You don’t make a film for now, you make a film for forever, and I think Fitoor did that!”

And honestly, as Fitoor continues to win over audiences ever since it released, it proves that good cinema can truthfully leave an everlasting impact!
