Aditya Narayan on welcoming a daughter: I secretly hoped that we would have a baby girl

Singer and TV host Aditya Narayan and his wife Shweta Agarwal have embraced parenthood after they delivered a baby girl. Today, on social media, Aditya announced the happy news mentioning that they welcomed the baby girl on February 24 this year. As Aditya has become a father, in an interview, he revealed that he secretly hoped for a baby girl despite people saying that it will be a baby boy.

Talking to BT, Aditya says, “Everyone kept telling me that it would be a baby boy. But I secretly hoped that we would have a baby girl. I believe fathers are closest to their daughters, and I am happy that my little girl has arrived. Shweta and I feel extremely blessed that we are parents now.”

Talking about the moment when his child was born, he shares, “I was with Shweta when she delivered, and I seriously feel that only a woman can show the kind of strength and perseverance to go through this and bring a child into this world. My love and respect for Shweta has doubled now. A woman goes through many things when she delivers a child and even during the pregnancy phase.”

Aditya Narayan and Shweta Agarwal met during the filming of Shaapit. The couple got married in December 2020. Aditya told Bollywood Bubble, “Initially, I was apprehensive whether to tell her or not as I don’t like to mix my personal life with my professional life. I liked her a lot and we used to meet during the shoot and more I met her, I started liking her more. What got us talking a lot was because of the same vanity van we shared. We used to talk and have tea and that’s how we started becoming good friends.”
