Anurag Dobhal Reveals He May Never Walk Again After His Accident
The incident took place after Anurag Dobhal, who gained wider recognition with Bigg Boss 17, attempted suicide during an Instagram Live session that ended in an accident. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU, where he underwent several medical procedures.
Recently, Anurag shared a video on Instagram to update fans about his condition. He captioned it, “Zindagi Mai Shyd Fir Kabhi Chal Payuga Ya Nahi.” In the video, he is seen undergoing physiotherapy and reveals the extent of his injuries. Anurag says, “One of my legs is totally numb, and I cannot move it. The hip above it underwent surgery, because of which the nerves of the leg seem to be damaged. I don’t know how I will recover.” He later reshared the clip on his Instagram Stories with the caption, “Some bad news.”
Following the update, fans flooded the comments section with supportive messages, wishing him strength and a speedy recovery. Many expressed hope that he would overcome this challenging phase and return stronger. A user wrote, “Inshallah, everything will be back to normal, and you will ride again”, with another reading, “Mahadev bless you.” Several other well-wishers commented, “Stay strong … Best is yet to come. The Reincarnation of UK07 rider is gonna be epic.” Another fan wrote, “Bhaiya jii u are champion… nd u will ride again so keep smiling.”
Reason Behind His Attempt At Suicide
Earlier in March, Anurag had posted a YouTube video, calling it his ‘final video.’ In the video, he alleged mental harassment by his family over his interfaith marriage with Ritika Chauhan. He claimed that his parents and brother were opposed to the relationship. He further said that they did not allow Ritika to enter the house, forcing the couple to live separately.
On March 7, Anurag went live on Instagram while driving his Toyota Fortuner on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway. During the livestream, he expressed feelings of isolation, saying, “Log hi nahi bache hai yaar jisko phone karu?, let’s go for a final ride.” The car, reportedly moving at 140–150 kmph, crashed shortly after. He was rescued and rushed to the hospital, and his manager later confirmed that he had been admitted to the ICU and was under medical observation.
Following the incident, his brother Kalam responded by calling the claims ‘one-sided allegations’ and alleged that Anurag was doing this for views, while denying all accusations against the family.
