EXCLUSIVE: Arjit Taneja on how people don’t see him beyond his shirtless pics: There is more to me

Arjit Taneja is one of the popular actors in the industry. Over the years, he has starred in several TV shows including Kumkum Bhagya, Bahu Begum, Naagin 5 and Naagin 6. The actor is currently winning hearts with his latest show, Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye. At the show launch, Arjit sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble and opened up about his Bollywood debut, and a lot more. Arjit Taneja also discussed being reduced to his looks and people not seeing beyond his shirtless pics.

Arjit Singh reacts to being reduced to looks

The actor said, “That happens I think just because you look a certain way, you have a certain body type and you post shirtless pictures on Instagram doesn’t mean that that’s all that you know. There is more to you and there is more to me other than my looks, other than my ok looks and my decent body. There is more to me of course I would like to believe that.”

He added, “I am working on myself as an actor and I did a reality show this year which did not involve me just looking good. And also, you’re not cast in a show just because you look good. I don’t think that’s true at all. So yes, I think it is changing now. People, if they see your work and if they like you in a certain role or something, they will appreciate your hard work other than your looks. I think at times logon ke dimage mein na ek blockage aa jata hai because social media is like that. You’re projected in a certain way. So, they don’t realise that social media is also become a job now from where we earn money. So, we have to do all that stuff.”

He went on to add, “If I’m posing shirtless pictures I’m doing that probably because I’ll get some protein brands and I’ll get some collaborations and all that. They’re not just third traps for me.”

Adding to that, Arjit mentioned he is not an active social media user. Furthermore, he went on to add that people should not judge you on the basis of your looks.
