His team confirmed the news, saying, “We are aware he has been taken into custody on allegations of theft,” but they did not share more details. So far, Dubai authorities have not released an official statement.
Abdu Rozik is known around the world, especially in the Middle East and South Asia, for his small stature—he is just over three feet tall due to a growth hormone condition. He holds a UAE Golden Visa and has lived in Dubai for several years. He has worked in music, reality shows, boxing, and even started his own restaurant brand called “Habibi” in the UK.
He first gained fame through viral singing videos and later became a fan favourite on the reality show Bigg Boss 16 with his charming personality. In 2024, he made his boxing debut in Dubai and expanded his business interests.
This isn’t the first time Rozik has faced controversy. Last year, he was questioned by Indian officials in a money laundering case involving a hotel company. Though he wasn’t officially accused, the case made headlines.
Recently, he appeared on the show Laughter Chefs: Entertainment Unlimited Season 2 alongside YouTuber Elvish Yadav. Their fun chemistry was well-loved by fans. However, Abdu left the show during Ramadan, saying he had to take a short trip to Dubai. He was later replaced by Karan Kundrra.
His arrest has shocked fans, and many are now waiting for more information from his legal team and Dubai authorities.
