Bigg Boss OTT 2: Jiya Shankar STUNS the audience as she shares seeing Jad Hadid like a ‘father figure’

Bigg Boss OTT 2 has been extended for two weeks, with two wildcards entering the reality show is about to get more interesting. Contestant Jiya Shankar has been stealing the spotlight in the show. Aren’t we already loving her more than before? Recently, in an episode of Bigg Boss OTT 2, Jiya Shankar breaks down emotionally in front of Jad Hadid revealing the real story behind her father and her name.

Jad Hadid and Jiya Shankar are known to share a close bond in the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house since the beginning. The two friends recently had a tiff during the captaincy race. For the unversed Jiya choose another contestant Avinash Sachdev over Jad. She explained that Jad is ‘diplomatic.’ He felt betrayed by Jiya’s actions.

Jiya reveals what Jad means to her

While the two were not talking to each other properly, Jiya went to have a conversation with Jad. He expressed his disappointment and put forward that he didn’t like the fact that Jiya choose him over Avinash. On the other hand, Jiya said that she doesn’t want to break their bond over a captaincy race. She said, “It is all a mess, you are a stranger now? She’s like my daughter and all. Don’t give me that sh*t then. Because I don’t have a father and I know what that means. I never call anyone dad and I have never given that position to anybody in my life and I gave it to you.” This certainly left us and viewers astonished as Jiya and Jad have been flirting with each other for quite some time and now suddenly giving her the place of a ‘fatherly figure’ sounds bizarre.

She shares her emotional backstory

Jiya revealed to Jad the story behind her name. She said, “Jiya Shankar, Shankar is not my father’s name. It is not my last name. Shankar is not my real name. I don’t use my father’s name, I don’t use his last name. I am saying this in front of zillion people. So that is how much you meant to me.” After Jiya said this she walked off and was crying under her blanket. That’s when Jad Hadid consoled her. After some time she told him, “I never want to lose you, you are family to me.”

Jiya made a confession in tears to Jad,

Why are we stunned by this? Because previously, the internet called out Jad Hadid for inappropriately touching Jiya Shankar in the house. Though the video seemed like it, we believe that it was very unintentional and Jad had earlier revealed that his love language is ‘physical touch’. Now, the two have cleared to us what relationship they have and what position they hold in each other’s life.

With all this said and done, I am eager to know where this fight takes their relationship. Even after solving it, will it be like a broken mirror put together or they have actually moved on? Only future episodes will tell.
