EXCLUSIVE: Radhika Muthukumar on comparisons with Dipika Kakar for Sasural Simar Ka: I am mentally prepared

Radhika Muthukumar has taken the reigns in her hand to headline the second installment of Dipika Kakar starrer Sasural Simar Ka. Dipika Kakar will be seen as the narrator for the first few episodes of Sasural Simar Ka 2 and has been shooting for the same in Agra. As the show went live this week, we spoke to Radhika Muthukumar if she is prepared for all the comparisons which might happen and what was her reaction like when she bagged Sasural Simar Ka 2. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Radhika told us, “Initially, I did not know that I was auditioning for the show but when I got to know that I got selected for it, I was happy beyond measures. I was happy dancing.”

When asked about the comparisons with Dipika Kakar, she said that she is nervous about it but also excited to see how things will roll out for her. “If I say I am not nervous, that would be wrong. Yes, I have been a little tense but the response so far has been good. So, I am excited and nervous too. I am prepared for the comparisons as well. I am only going to go with the flow: I am not going to take unnecessary pressure, if someone is not convinced with my efforts, I will try and convince them by working harder to make them like this Simar as well.”

Radhika said that the essence of Sasural Simar Ka 2 will be the same, where family drama is there along with other things. She said that the writers are working hard to ensure freshness to the story and she wants to take “one day at a time.”

The cast and crew for the show are currently shooting in Agra.
