Gurmeet Choudhary takes inspiration from Sonu Sood; comes out to help people amid COVID emergency

On Monday, Khamoshiyan actor Gurmeet Choudhary took to his official social media handles and dropped an inspirational message. In his tweet, he mentioned that he ‘really wants to help’ people ‘in such a crucial time’ and that ‘he will try his best to help as many as he can’. Gurmeet also mentioned that Sonu Sood was his inspiration. The actor took up the responsibility to help people during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, after Sonu tested positive for the virus on April 17, 2021.

After his post, the fans and followers of Gurmeet have posted several positive warm feedback in the comment section. A fan commented, ‘That’s why I love and respect you‘. Apparently, the actor is also shocked to see the innumerous calls and messages he received seeking help for the injections needed to save their family member’s lives.

Gurmeet pleaded with people to use their contacts and arrange for those injections if possible, and contact on the number he left on his Instagram post. Thus feeling helpless, Gurmeet wrote, “It’s been 48 hrs ever since I have been on a roll to help all the people who are in need It’s shocking, sad and depressing to see the amount of calls we have received on not having injections like #remdesivir #tocilizumab available around. People are crying to save their family members, asking even if 1 dose is available, it will mean a lot to save their loved ones.” The actor requested everyone to pull strings and get these injections for those in dire need. Gurmeet captioned this heartbreaking post as, “?#SOS? PLEASE READ AND SHARE ? #COVIDEmergency #COVIDSecondWaveInIndia (sic).”
