Anupamaa: Is Ronit Roy Replacing Sudhanshu Pandey As Vanraj Shah In Rupali Ganguly Starrer? Here’s What We Know

The makers of Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa are giving the storyline a major boost by bringing in Ronit Roy as the new Vanraj Shah. The decision follows Sudhanshu Pandey’s exit from the show, which left the character off-screen for an extended period. Viewers noticed a dip in ratings after the generation leap, prompting the producers to reintroduce strong characters to revitalise the show.

According to reliable sources, Ronit Roy will soon re-enter the series, reprising the role known to viewers as ‘Mr Shah’. Meanwhile, Rupali Ganguly continues to portray the titular character, Anupamaa, who in the current storyline is rebuilding her life in Mumbai by leveraging her cooking and dance skills. There’s also growing buzz that Gaurav Khanna might return as Anuj Kapadia. Though his character disappeared after the leap, Khanna recently mentioned in an interview that his exit was just “a ‘comma’ for now,” hinting at a potential comeback at the right time.

Recently, Ronit Roy addressed rumours surrounding his return as Mihir in the new season of Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Fans are excited for the much-anticipated reboot of the iconic soap, but the original Mihir will not be part of it, while Smriti Irani has reprised her role as Tulsi. While speaking to Etimes TV, Ronit confirmed the development and shared his thoughts on the show’s revival. “I’m happy that they decided to bring back Kyunki. And unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me. But of course, Kyunki is a show that has been very close to my heart,” he said.

He added, “I’m not averse to doing a long show or being on television for a longer time. However, as I mentioned, there is still much to be desired on television. 25 years from when I began. And the world has changed. Some need to be fixed regarding television. So, once that happens, I will likely be back. Till such time, I’m happy where I am.”
