Post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, nepotism debate came in the spotlight again and the entire Bollywood got divided in it. Many claimed that he was made to feel an ‘outsider’ in the industry and was never welcomed. After the debate of nepotism and favouritism in the film and music industry started grabbing the headlines, television was also not left untouched. While some said that nepotism exists in the TV industry as well, some totally disagreed.

A true-blue outsider, Abhishek Kapur who hails from Delhi also shared his thoughts on the same.

The ‘Kundali Bhagya’ actor said, “You maybe someone’s son or daughter, but if you don’t have talent, you won’t survive. You may get extra chances, but if you are not good, you will be out. A celebrity wants his kids to be a star, what’s wrong in it? Tomorrow I will also want my kids to work. If my kid doesn’t do well, he will be out. We can’t blame anyone on this. So, talent is very important. Same with cricket as how many cricketers’ son have played well? You have to help your kid, and there’s nothing wrong in it.”
