Mohit Malik pens an emotional note for son Ekbir as he returns from Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 shoot

It had been a rigorous and grueling couple of months for this year’s contestants of Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, and after wrapping up the on-location portion of the shoot in Cape Town, South Africa, the group of contestants returned to the city this morning amidst much love and warmth from their families who had come to take them home.

Actor Mohit Malik, who is coming out to be one of the strongest contestants this season, arrived at the airport to the best surprise he could have hoped for. As soon as the actor exited the airport gate, he saw his son Ekbir waiting for him with open arms and Mohit just couldn’t stop himself from getting emotional. He went to his knees to hug him and soon his wife Addite Malik also joined in and it was indeed an emotional moment for the whole family.

Mohit Malik and Addite also took to their Instagram accounts to document the whole day of Ekbir from the time he got ready to receive his dad to the time they finally embraced. It was after close to two months that the father-son duo was reuniting and Mohit penned down his thoughts in an emotional note. It read, “After 52 days, I met my champ and piece of my heart. I know it was difficult for both of you as much as it was for me. Every day, every moment even before every stunt, I used to think about you two. I can’t express how happy I am after reuniting and holding you two in my arms. (sic)”

Mohit is known for shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, Phulwa, Kullfi Kumarr Bajwala and Lockdown Ki Love Story. He got married to actress Addite Malik in 2010 and the couple had their son Ekbir in April 2021.
