Puja Banerjee-Kunal Verma Extortion Case: Actress FINALLY REACTS To Filmmaker Shyam Sunder Dey, Wife Malbika’s Abduction FIR; Says, “God Is Watching”

A few days after actor couple Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma publicly claimed they were victims of a financial scam, new FIR have emerged against them. Bengali film producer Shyam Sunder Dey has accused the duo of kidnapping him in Goa, physically assaulting him, and extorting money. His wife, Malabika Dey, has lodged an FIR related to these allegations.

Puja Banerjee REACTS To FIR Filed

Following these accusations, Puja Banerjee shared an emotional social media post, describing this period as the “toughest time” of her life. She expressed gratitude to those standing by her and extended blessings to those believing the false claims against her. Her message read, “Going through the toughest time of our lives, those who are standing by us we will be forever grateful to you all. And those who believe in the lies spread against us, God bless them too. I believe in God and u know. GOD IS WATCHING.”

About 64 Lakhs Scam

The controversy intensified after Shyam Sunder Dey accused Puja and Kunal of kidnapping him in Goa, physically assaulting him, and demanding money, as reported by the Times of India. Shyam’s wife, Malabika Dey, also shared a detailed Facebook post, alleging betrayal and breach of trust, and stated that their family is under immense mental stress because of the incident.

According to Shyam Dey, after his family returned from a trip, he stayed back in Goa for work. He recounted that while driving a rented car, a black Jaguar suddenly forced him to stop. Two men approached and asked him to step out, but he initially refused. He claimed he only agreed when he saw Puja Banerjee, believing it was a misunderstanding.

Shyam alleged that he was taken to Amber Villa, initially kept on the first floor and later moved upstairs. He claimed Kunal Verma assaulted him there, while Puja did nothing to intervene despite his pleas. Malabika Dey further detailed the incident on Facebook, accusing Puja and Kunal of betrayal and trust violation. She claimed their family is under severe mental stress due to Shyam’s ordeal. She also alleged that Shyam was threatened with framing in a drug case if he did not pay around Rs 64 lakh.
