Rati Pandey and Manav Gohil’s show Shaadi Mubarak started off on a good note. The show focused on the ambition of a housewife to move out of her patriarchal lifestyle and step out to earn her own identity. However, soon with the lockdown in place after the second wave of coronavirus hitting the nation, things had been uncertain within the industry. Shaadi Mubarak among other shows has come into the radar and the channel has decided to pull the plug off the show.

While many other shows started shooting after temporarily relocating to different places, Shaadi Mubarak did not. It was earlier being speculated that the show might resume later once Manav Gohil recovers from COVID 19 but that didn’t happen. In fact, Shaadi Mubarak has gone off-air abruptly with no conclusive end. Fans of the show will definitely be angry over this.

Opening up on the show going off-air, Manav Gohil told Times of India, “I completely empathize with the producers and the channel and understand their decision to end Shaadi Mubarak. At the end of the day, no one wanted the show to go off air like this. One thing I know is that the channel never wanted to end the show in the first place as they loved the show. Also, if they were to shift to any of their subsidiary channel, I am not sure how the commercials would have worked between the producers and the channel. When I got a call about the decision on Friday morning, I said to myself let’s take one day at a time. It is unfortunate but one has to move on.”
