Rupali Ganguly DEMANDS National Awards For TV Actors; Points Out, ‘We Work Very Hard”

The 71st National Awards winner list was revealed and it has made fans of Indian film – not just in India but abroad too, extremely happy. While all regional cinemas are buzzing with excitement, ‘Anupamaa’ Rupali Ganguly, has a nerve to pick with the Government of India. During a recent interaction, the actress demanded more recognition for TV actors and their hard work as well as National Awards for their craft. Read on to know all she shared.

Rupali Ganguly Demands National Awards For TV Actors

During a recent interaction with Viral Bhayani, Rupali Ganguly, highlighted the biasness towards TV actors in India. The ‘Anupamaa’ actress held nothing back as she shared her thoughts on TV actors not being appreciated at the National Awards. She said, “There are National Awards for everyone—film stars, content creators. But there’s nothing for TV actors.”

During the same conversation, Rupali also spoke about how TV actors are often overlooked despite their long shooting schedules and hard work. Highlighting how TV actors worked continuously even during the COVID-19 pandemic when most industries slowed down, Ganguly said, “Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, we kept working. When a film star works continuously, it makes headlines. But no one talked about how we, the TV artists, worked non-stop during COVID.”

She ended her views with a heartfelt request for the Indian Government. The actress signed off saying, “I request the government to recognise our efforts too. We work very hard.”
