‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actor Ashiesh Roy, who was suffering kidney ailments, left for the heavenly adobe on November 24. A few months back, The 55-year-old actor had taken to social media to seek financial help for his medical treatment.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Amit Behl Senior Joint Secretary of CINTAA confirmed the news of Ashiesh’s demise. “Ashiesh has passed away in his house. Director Arvind Babbal called me to inform about it,” Amit told the tabloid.

Sharing details of Ashiesh’s death, the security guard of Pataliputra building (Jogeshwari) where the actor lived, told the tabloid, “Ashiesh saab died at 3.45 am last night. His servant came running down and said he had a couple of big hiccups and collapsed. Unka health problem toh chal hi raha tha but the servant said he was quite okay yesterday. In fact, he was supposed to undergo a dialysis today, too.”

Ashiesh was unmarried and reportedly his funeral will take place today evening after his sister arrives from Kolkata. The actor had shows like ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ ‘Sasural Simar Ka’,  ‘Jeanie Aur Juj’, ‘Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai’, ‘Baa Bahu Aur Baby’, ‘Bymokesh Bakshi’ and ‘Remix’ to his credit.

The actor’s financial condition had worsened owing to the Coronavirus induced lockdown and he was facing a hard time receiving medical care owing to lack of funds. After he sought help via his Facebook post, several celebs like Hansal Mehta, Jyotsna Chandola and writer-producer Vinta Nanda had come forward to help him.
