Shoaib Ibrahim Opens Up On Facing Anxiety Amid Dipika Kakar’s Cyst Recurrence
Taking to his YouTube vlog on Sunday, Shoaib Ibrahim expressed that the past week has been consumed by hospital visits and consultations, which is why he hasn’t been actively posting content. Titled “Need your help”, he revealed that they even visited Tata Memorial Hospital to get a second opinion regarding Dipika’s treatment plan. He added that they are trying to understand the reason behind the recurring cyst, and doctors have recommended additional tests, including an MRI.
Speaking about his emotional state, Shoaib admitted that the situation has made him increasingly anxious. He said, “For the past 10–12 days, I haven’t been vlogging much. There are two reasons. First, there isn’t really anything new to show or tell, mostly just hospital visits, doctor consultations, and the same routine. I don’t want to bore you all by repeating the same things every day, like ‘we’re going to the hospital again today.’ I’d rather share everything together after a few days.”
Shoaib further shared, “And secondly, ever since her second relapse, I’ve started experiencing health anxiety not about myself, but about Dipika. I feel a constant sense of worry. Even if something very small happens, I get anxious. I don’t really show it to her, though. Like if she’s sleeping at night and mentions slight pain in her leg, I get really worried internally, thinking if everything is okay or not.”
Dipika Kakar Admits Going Through An Emotional Toll
Moreover, Dipika Kakar, in her recent vlog, admitted that the recurrence has shaken her emotionally. She said, “The recurrence that happened with the 1.3 cm cyst has shaken me. I am a little scared now that it shouldn’t happen again. I have started dieting, but I feel anxious. One thing I have understood is that we ladies are stronger than we think we are. Our bodies are so complex; handling that daily is worth saluting. The hormonal changes in our body, irrespective of any illness, we go through so much, and yet we smoothly function in our lives. I have spoken to a few people who also had reoccurrences. I spoke to a friend, who is also going through a very tough health patch.”
About Dipika’s Health
For context, in June 2025, Dipika had a tumour-removal surgery as part of her cancer treatment. Later, she underwent surgery for a stomach cyst on February 23. Since then, she has used her platform to document chemotherapy sessions, emotional highs and lows, and her recovery journey. Alongside her, Shoaib Ibrahim has also kept fans updated, standing by her through every step.
Dipika’s Professional Front
Dipika Kakar rose to fame with her role as Simar Bhardwaj in Sasural Simar Ka, which ran successfully for years. She later appeared on reality shows such as Bigg Boss 12, which she won, as well as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye.
