Sooraj Pancholi opts out of ‘Hafiz’?

It’s been almost two years now to the release of actor Sooraj Pancholi’s debut film ‘Hero’. Ever since then the actor has disappeared from the big screen. Recently, the actor was in the news after he signed up a new film to be directed by Prabhudheva. But, it is due to this project that the actor had to let go another film. Apparently Sooraj had to walk out of producer Kumar Mangat’s romantic drama, that was tentatively titled ‘Hafiz’.

After the release of ‘Hero’, this project of producer Kumar Mangat was apparently supposed to mark his return to the big screen. The reason behind opting out from this film was perhaps the delay in the schedule of the film. Reports suggest that the film was supposed to go on floor in mid-July in Morocco. However, it was due to the changes in the script and delay in acquiring required permissions to the shoot at the location, the film’s shoot got pushed ahead. (Also Read: Did you know Sooraj Pancholi has battled with stammering issues?)

Reportedly, the makers of ‘Hafiz’ had to shift their shooting schedule due to these issues and required Sooraj to give his dates in the month of September-October. However, those dates were already allotted by him for his other film with Prabhudheva.

Sooraj Pancholi would have required to lose 10 kgs for ‘Hafiz’ and his physical appearance was different in both these films. Hence, the actor had no option but to walk out from ‘Hafiz’.

But, an official confirmation is still awaited from the actor and the makers of this film.
