Fiery actress Kangana Ranaut made her directorial debut with the historical biographical drama ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. If the latest buzz is anything to go by then the power-house performer’s debut film as a director will be out by next year.

After marrying filmmaker Aditya Chopra, Rani took a break from acting to look after her daughter Adira. After a four-year hiatus, she made a comeback with Siddharth P Malhotra’s ‘Hichki’ that released last year. Though the film failed to create any magic at the box-office windows however Rani’s performance was praised by everyone unanimously.

The actress is currently busy shooting for the sequel of her 2014 hit film ‘Mardaani‘. In the film, Rani will be reprising her role as policewoman Shivani Shivaji Roy. Now if a report in Mumbai Mirror is anything to go by then Rani will be releasing her directorial debut by the end of next year.

This piece of news is really great and we are dying to know what topic the ‘Black’ actress has chosen for her first film as a director. Also, it’s such a nice trend to see that our actresses are showing a keen interest in getting behind the camera.

However, with no official announcement about Rani’s directorial plans all we can do is wait and watch.
