After wrapping up Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ opposite Alia Bhatt, and finishing few schedules of ‘Simmba’ directed by Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh is all ready to begin filming for Kabir Khan’s ’83’ which is based on the Indian Cricket Team’s 1983 World Cup Win. The ‘Padmaavat’ star who will essay the role of Kapil Dev is presently in London along with the director of his film.

But before they actually commence the shoot, the director-duo decided to visit the Lord’s Cricket Ground with the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. Maybe as a part of the film’s research work, Ranveer and Kabir explored the huge ground, and also clicked a few pictures with master blaster Tendulkar.

Sharing the picture-perfect moment on their respective social media handles, the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ director wrote, “Sachin was 9 years old when he saw on television Kapil’s Devils win the World Cup in 1983 right here at this ground. That win inspired him to want to play for India. 35 years later we Kick off the prep for our film 83 at the Lords… Can’t get better than this can it? @ranveersingh @sachintendulkar #indiaenglandseries #lords #filmprep.”

Whereas, Singh captioned a video, “Cricket gyaan from Cricket ka bhagwaan @sachintendulkar.”

How wonderful is it, to see three talented personalities in one frame!
