’83’: Ranveer Singh and his team jet off to London to shoot first schedule – view pics and videos

After entertaining the audience with his films like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, filmmaker Kabir Khan is all set to translate team India’s win at the 1983 World Cup on celluloid with his upcoming film ’83’. The film stars an ensemble cast with Ranveer Singh playing Captain Kapil Dev. Last night, the actor and his ’83 team left for London to begin the film’s first schedule.

Interestingly, Ranveer and his squad were all suited up. They actually looked like Indian cricket team members all charged up and enthusiastic to play for their country. Team India is also currently in England for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

The cast and crew looked extremely excited as they embarked on a new journey. Livewire Ranveer, as usual, was the one jumping with joy and cheering up for his squad.

Apart from Ranveer, ’83’ also features Harrdy Sandhu (Madan Lal), Saqib Saleem (Mohinder Amarnath), Tahir Raj Bhasin (Sunil Gavaskar), Ammy Virk (Balwinder Sandhu), Jiiva (Krishnamachari Srikkanth) and Sahil Khattar (Syed Kirmani) among others. Pankaj Tripathi will also be seen playing a pivotal role in this Kabir Khan directorial.

This sports drama is scheduled to hit the silver screens on April 10 next year.
