AR Rahman’s 99 Songs has hit the theatres today (April 16). Prior to the release of the movie, from celebs to Rahman’s fans, everyone wished him “good luck” for the film. It is Rahman’s debut film as a producer and writer and it stars Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in lead roles. 99 Songs released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. It is a musical romance and filmmaker Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy has made his debut as a director with this film. The musical drama is presented by Jio Studios, produced by AR Rahman’s production company YM Movies and co-produced by Ideal Entertainment. 99 Songs also stars Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala, composer-drummer Ranjit Barot, and Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram.

The movie has got positive reviews from the critics especially, the music of the film is very much appreciated. Also, on Twitter, people are raving 99 Songs.
