Industry buzz also suggests that Aamir’s close friends and fellow superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan may attend the private celebration, depending on their schedules. However, the guest list has not been officially confirmed yet.
About Aamir Khan, Gauri Spratt
Aamir Khan introduced Gauri Spratt to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations last year. At the event, the actor confirmed that the two had been dating for over a year. He also revealed that Gauri had been working with his production house.
Before making the relationship public, reports had claimed that Aamir was dating someone outside the film industry. Speaking about how he managed to keep the relationship away from media attention, the actor had jokingly said, “Dekha kuch bhi pata nahi chalne diya maine tum logo ko.”
Aamir further explained how the couple stayed away from public scrutiny for a long time. “For one, she lives in Bangalore, or lived there until recently. So I would fly down to meet her, and the media scrutiny is less there. So we stayed under the radar,” he shared.
Gauri Spratt reportedly has a seven-year-old son named Quinn from her previous marriage. Reports also state that she is the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, a British-born Communist who later became associated with India’s freedom movement.
About Aamir Khan’s Previous Marriages
Aamir Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta. The two tied the knot in 1986 and share two children, Junaid and Ira Khan. After 16 years of marriage, the couple divorced in 2002. In a recent interview with Navbharat Times, Aamir opened up about finding happiness and peace with Gauri. “I am very lucky that I met Gauri, and our relationship started together. She is great; I feel at peace with her. Although my relationships with (ex-wives) Kiran (Rao) and Reena (Dutta) were also very deep, things didn’t work out. When you asked, I felt that I am very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together. Mujhe lagta hai ab main jaake mukammal hua hoon (I feel complete today),” he said.
Over the last year, Aamir and Gauri have made several public appearances together, including at the Macau International Comedy Festival in China. During one of his media interactions last year, Aamir had also spoken about the possibility of marriage and said, “We are fully committed. However, at 60, marriage might not suit me, but let’s see.”
