Abhishek Bachchan has the BEST reaction to being compared with father Amitabh Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan is one of the popular actors in Bollywood. Abhishek made his acting debut with Refugee and then there was no looking back for him. The actor has starred in films like Bunty Aur Babli, Dhoom, Sarkar, Dostana, Paa, and Dasvi among others. Abhishek has successfully made a mark for himself in the industry. Since making his acting debut, Abhishek has always been compared to father-actor Amitabh Bachchan.

In a recent interview, Abhishek was asked if he would hypothetically want to disassociate himself from his family, and re-launch himself in the industry with a different name. The actor told Galatta Plus, “I would never do that, I’ve never felt the need to do that either. For me, the greatest pride comes from the fact that I’m my parents’ son. Professionally as well.”

The actor added, “I look upon the responsibility of being my parents’ son very differently from how the world perceives it… For me, I look at it as the responsibility to carry forth the family’s legacy. I’ve never looked at it as a burden, or an albatross around my neck. I’ve looked at it as a huge, huge privilege and an honour, and I wake up every morning wanting to do a good service to that.”

The actor went on to add that he cannot control journalists who want to compare him with Big B. He said, “If, after 22 years, you still feel the need to bring up a comparison, then fair enough. My approach is that you’re comparing me to the best, so I’m evidently doing something right.”

Abhishek recently delivered a terrific performance in Breathe: Into The Shadows 2. The psychological thriller also stars Amit Sadh, Nithya Menen, Naveen Kasturia, and Saiyami Kher.

Abhishek will be next seen in Ghoomer.

Talking about Big B, he recently starred in Uunchai with Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. The veteran actor will be next seen in Project K with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. He also has The Intern remake.
