Bollywood movies that are based on any real person’s story surely generate curiosity among the viewers. Especially, the movie based on politicians and sportsperson attracts a large audience. Speaking of this, ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ has surely made an impact with its trailer which was released last week. However, with the release of trailer, the movie has also landed in controversy.

In the movie, Anupam Kher is playing the role of Dr Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India while Akshaye Khanna will be seen as the media advisor-cum-book writer Sanjaya Baru. The movie has been making headlines since it hit the floors. Despite the controversies and opposition from Congress leaders, the makers will release the film next week.

On Friday, Anupam Kher took to Twitter to share a glimpse of his acting prowess in a scene from the film. In the video, we can see Anupam Kher as Dr Manmohan Singh paying his last respects to Ex-Prime Minister, Narasimha Rao. We also can see Kher nailing Manmohan Singh’s role with perfection.

Notably, ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ is based on the 2014 book written by Sanjaya Baru which lead to many controversies. Like the book, the movie also has faced the heat from Congress supporters.

A lawyer named Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed a petition against the associated members of the film in Muzaffarpur’s chief judicial magistrate court for mangling with the image of some top politicians. The case has been filed against Anupam Kher and 14 other members associated with the film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’.

Despite all this, the movie will be releasing on January 11, 2019.
