Actor Ayaan Khan stands tall in reviving Bollywood culture in Kashmir

The reach of Bollywood films is at every nuke and corner of India and across borders. Among many popular destinations, Kashmir remains the favourite choice of filmmakers. In the past, many notable Bollywood films like Junglee (1961), Bobby (1973), Kabhie Kabhie (1976), Rockstar (2011), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) among other flicks have been shot there. However, after August 5, 2019, the abrogation of Article 370 put the plans of shooting in Kashmir on hold. But the COVID-19 lockdown worsened the situation. Luckily, the situation has now improved with the filming process going in full swing in the state. One of the leading actors, Ayaan Khan is doing his bit to revive the Bollywood connection in Kashmir.

Hailing from Srinagar, he is an international published Bollywood actor, the Youngest Philanthropist and a Youth icon. Ayaan Khan grabbed everyone’s attention for his music video Phir Aaoge which was released earlier this year in March. The sad love song was appreciated by one and all which saw Ayaan getting tremendous recognition on the internet. His next much-awaited romantic love music video titled Thodi Dair by Ami Mishra is said to release soon. The love anthem is produced by his production house Misty Cine Films. While the song is slated to release soon, Ayaan earlier stated that the musical melody will be a treat for the audience and will soak everyone’s heart soon.

His venture Misty Cine Films is planning to work on the best music videos, shows, short films and feature films. More so, the production house is also planning to establish its one-of-a-kind acting academy in J&K. “We have seen a sea of films being shot in Kashmir, but when it comes to talent, many artists are unexplored. By launching the academy, I intend to allow teenagers and youths to showcase their skills in the field of arts, music and Entertainment ”, said Ayaan.

Besides bringing the filming culture back to the valley, Ayaan Khan braved threats from different radicalised groups for going against the flow but he didn’t give up his enthusiasm for making his country proud. Ayaan Khan is putting his best foot forward to promote the deserving artists of Kashmir through Misty Cine Films. For the same, the actor has been getting incredible support from everyone. With his work, Khan is not just bringing the film culture back to Kashmir, but he is also working towards upscaling Kashmir tourism which was severely impacted due to the COVID-19 crisis as he supported 1000 poor daily wager and COVID-19 affected families Alone along with Misty Cine Films. Ayaan personally went door to door to help these desolated families and he monitored all the relief operations himself. Ayaan’s commendable work helped him bag the Youth Icon of J&K which was bestowed to him by honourable Lieutenant Governor of J&K Shri Manoj Sinha.

As Thodi Dair remains his next much-awaited project, the actor has got a romantic thriller in his kitty. The film is said to go on floors soon. We wish the supremely talented actor lots of luck in his forthcoming endeavours.
