Actor-dance trainer Veeru Krishnan death: Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Athiya Shetty offer condolences

Actor and dance trainer Veeru Krishnan of ‘Raja Hindustani’ fame breathed his last on Saturday. Veeru had trained several Bollywood as well as television actresses in Khatak. He popularly remembered for his role in ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum’, ‘Ishq’ and ‘Dulhe Raja’.

Several B-town actresses took to their social media handles to offer condolence on his death.

Veeru had taught Kathak to the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif to name a few. Expressing her grief over Veeru’s death, Priyanka took to Twitter and wrote, “You taught me to dance when I was two left feet. Your patience and passion for dance was so infectious that each one of us not only learned Kathak, but so much more from you. You will always be remembered Guruji.”

Whereas Lara Dutta wrote, “This is very sad news indeed. Prayers and heartfelt condolences to Guruji’s family. He really was an institution & his passion for kathak and patience with his students made him an exemplary teacher.”

Athiya Shetty also offered condolence.”Omg, so sad and shocked to hear this. RIP guruji thank you for teaching us— hard work, discipline and to truly love the form of Kathak,” she wrote.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta shared the following post

Karanvir Bohra wrote, “I’m really sad to state that my darling Guruji #panditvirukrishnan has left for his heavenly abode…This is a great loss for all of us. But I know he is in a happier place.”
