Actress Divya Dutta is over the moon for winning the National Award. The actress has won it in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in the film ‘Irada’ at the 65th National Film Awards. An elated Divya a renowned face in in the Hindi and Punjabi film industry says it is such achievements that make her feel alive as an actor.

She said, “The actor in me feels alive again and grateful that there is appreciation pouring in. I am overjoyed with the news. First, my film ‘Manto’ going to Cannes Film Festival and now the National Award…I am overwhelmed. After a 100 odd films, this is my first National Award and I am going to treasure this moment. It means the world.”

Soon after winning the award, she addressed the media and said, “This is my first National Award and it will take time to sink in because when I came to become an actress, this was a dream for me – To win a National Award. For some reason, everyone has always called me a National Award-winner. So, finally, that comes true. In ‘Irada’, Divya played the role of a minister. The movie, which also features Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi, also bagged the Best Environment Film Award.
