Ahmed Khan to direct ‘Hera Pheri 3’

The makers of the ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise are back with the third part in the series. The film once again has Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal depicting their iconic roles as Raju, Ghyanshyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in ‘Hera Pheri 3’. Though the original star cast has been retained, the directorial baton has changed hand. This time around it will not be Neeraj Vohra directing the comedy riot but Ahmed Khan.

Earlier the film had Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham instead of Akshay Kumar and Suneil Shetty, but John walked out citing date issues, soon followed by Abhishek Bachchan who opted out for reasons unknown. The first part of the franchise was directed by Priyadarshan and it went on to be the most loved film of the year. The second ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ too minted money at the box office. It was directed by Neeraj Vohra and now the third has Ahmed Khan helming the project.

Sources confirmed the news saying, “All issues including the ones Akshay had with the producer Firoz Nadiadwala have been sorted. Neeraj will focus on the screenplay and script while Ahmed is directing it. The film will roll from October this year. The film will begin from where ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ ended with Raju fleeing with the gun. Now Baburao and Ghyanshyam will be searching for him.”

So get set for another round of madness with your favourite characters Raju, Baburao and Ghanshyam in ‘Hera Pheri 3’.
