Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai look happiest as Raksha Bandhan takes Dubai by storm- WATCH  

Actor Akshay Kumar along with his co-stars Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Smrithi Srikanth and director Aanand L Rai headed to Dubai to promote their upcoming movie, Raksha Bandhan. The film’s trailer was showcased at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City. Just recently, a video of the same was released on social media where we get to see the star cast and their happy faces.

Akshay and his co-stars also visited shopping centres like City Centre Diera, where they interacted with the fans and crowd. Nevertheless, in this happy moment, Raksha Bandhan also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar. The film is helmed by Aanand L Rai who has previously worked with Akshay in Atrangi Re. The movie is set to release on 11 August 2022, clashing with Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha.

At the trailer launch event of Raksha Bandhan, the Atrangi Re actor was asked about the clash of his movie with Aamir and Kareena starrer. He said, “It’s not a clash, it’s about 2 big movies coming together. It’s a big date. There has been a delay due to Covid, and clashes are natural. I won’t say we are clashing, we are trying to bring our film to the people. I hope both the films have a good run at the box office.”

Talking about the film, director Aanand L Rai said, “I enjoyed making this film. We have made this film with a lot of heart” and added, “I am lucky to have got Akshay Sir. But honestly, I didn’t get Akshay sir, I got Raju, who is a very khubsurat bacha (beautiful child). He has done so many films and yet, he treated me like an elder brother.”
