Only yesterday, actor Akshay Kumar announced another prestigious project, titled, Gorkha which is based on one legendary war hero, Major General Ian Cardozo. Its first look poster was released on his social media accounts where he felt honoured to essay the role of an icon and present this special film to the audience. As the film was getting a lot of love and response from the fans and critics, a former Gorkha officer just noticed an error in the poster and pointed it out to Akshay Kumar.

According to ex-Gorkha officer Manik M Jolly, ‘Khukri’ which is one of the important elements of the story seemed to have found an error in the poster.

Even though he was elated the film is based on the martyred soldier, the officer thinks the details matter. He then explained Khukri’s sharp edge should have been on the other side as it is not a sword but a Khukri. Officer Manik wrote, “Dear @akshaykumar ji, as an ex Gorkha officer, my thanks to you for making this movie. However, details matter. Kindly get the Khukri right. The sharp edge is on the other side. It is not a sword. Khukri strikes from inner side of blade. Ref pic of Khukri att. Thanks.

In no time, Akshay acknowledged the mistake and owned up to it by assuring that he and the makers will “take utmost care while filming” the film.

Moreover, he also welcomes suggestions from people in order to make thefilm realistic and true. He replied to the officer, “Dear Maj Jolly, thank you so much for pointing this out. We’ll take utmost care while filming. I’m very proud and honoured to be making Gorkha. Any suggestions to get it closest to reality would be most appreciated.
