After Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer ‘Talaash’, Reema Kagti is all set to don the director’s hat once again for a film titled ‘Gold’ which is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The movie stars Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy, and the shooting of the film has kickstarted in Bradford.

Zoya Akhtar on her Instagram page posted the picture of the clapboard and wrote, “Mahurat #gold #firstday #firstshot #clappergirl #fatfingers #reemakagti #alvarogutierrez #excelentertainment #akshaykumar #bradford @reemakagti1 @titoterrez.” [sic]

‘Gold’ is set in 1948, when India had won its first medal at Olympics, after Independence. The movie will mark Mouni’s acting debut on the big screen, she was seen last year in ‘Tum Bin 2’ in which she had a special number. The film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Sunny Kaushal and Vineet Singh. It is slated to hit the screens on August 15, 2018.
