Actor Akshay Kumar recently hosted an event in the city for his upcoming movie, Ram Setu. The event was to launch the theme song of the film; however, during the event, Akshay earned massive respect from netizens with his sweet gesture.

Before singing the Ram Setu theme song, the Samrat Prithviraj star removed his shoes and said ‘Jai Shri Ram’. We came across a video of Akshay where we also see the audience grooving and singing with Akshay as they sing the theme song with utmost zeal and zest. Kumar is also seen jamming hard as he sees the audience’s reaction.

Meanwhile, for the event, the Raksha Bandhan actor picked a white t-shirt that he paired with blue distressed jeans. Akshay rounded his look with an olive colour blazer jacket, looking cool and casual.

Speaking of the Ram Setu trailer, it showed a case being heard in the Supreme Court in which the government is asking permission to demolish the Ram Setu, and the duty to protect it falls on an archaeologist, played by Akshay, who goes on an expedition with his team. The expedition turns into an epic adventure in which the archaeologists are trying to protest India’s 7000 years old history.

Earlier, sharing some stills of Ram Setu, Akshay penned a heartfelt note, saying, “You showered the Ram Setu teaser with so much love and we are grateful for that. The love and eagerness with which you are waiting for the Ram Setu trailer is making us work even harder. Now to answer the burning question. The trailer of Ram Setu will be out on 11th October. Brace yourself to deep dive into the world of Ram Setu! #RamSetu in cinemas, 25th October 22.”

Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Ram Setu will release theatrically this Diwali on October 25, 2022. The movie also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez.
