Akshay Kumar on Tuesday made a post on his Instagram, seeking blessings from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as he kick-starts the shooting of the Marathi movie, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat. The actor shared a photo of him with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Akshay Kumar announced on his Instagram she is beginning the shooting of the Marathi movie, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat.

The actor shared the announcement and in Marathi, he wrote, “Today I am starting the shooting of Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Sat’ in which I am lucky to be able to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will do my best by taking inspiration from his life and blessing of Mother Jijau! Keep your blessings on us.

In the comments section of the post, one user commented, “Jai Bhavani Best of Luck sir,” wishing Akshay luck for his next project. Another user said, “Best of luck sir.” One user warned Akshay and wrote, “This is maharashtra brother, there is no excuse for mistakes here, so do it carefully.”

Meanwhile, Akshay recently visited Jeddah and attended the Red Sea Film Festival. The actor made a dashing appearance at the film festival and expressed his thoughts on movies. He even revealed details of his debut OTT series which is set to start rolling next year. Kumar also mentioned he is planning to make a movie on sex education.

On the work front, the actor was last seen in the film Ram Setu, which made a decent business at the box office. In his kitty, Kumar has the movies, Gorkha, Capsule Gill, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff, Oh My God! 2 OMG 2 with Pankaj Tripathi, Soorarai Pottru remake amongst others.
