In a recent interview with ETimes, Ali said that he was supposed to tie the knot in 2022. Revealing why he rushed his wedding to Alicia, the director told the daily, “Mom and Dad had tested Covid positive, so I had to bring the marriage date ahead. They are growing old and wanted me to get married. Otherwise, the wedding was planned for 2022.”

It was then when the director speaking about how he met his wife shared, “I got to know her during ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. After that, I kept pursuing her to marry me; she said ‘yes’ only last year. Alicia is an Iranian based in France. In fact, she’s born and brought up there. The shift was understandably not an easy decision for her at all. But I kept pursuing because I felt that she was the only one I wanted to start a family with.”

Earlier today, Ali shared yet another gorgeous picture from his wedding.

During the same interview, Ali revealed that Alicia, who is a French model, was also a part of Salman Khan starrer ‘Bharat’. Yes, the model featured in a song along with Disha Patani. Interestingly, Alicia did that just for fun and her husband thinks she is fully equipped to take up direction.

The filmmaker is keen to start a family soon. “Yes, but let’s see… Covid is still not over. Also, I want to throw a nice reception party for the industry. I hope it happens sometime in October before I kick-off ‘Mr India’,” he said.
