Alia Bhatt

Ever wondered just how many clothes we push to the back of our closet, when we skim through the upper layers? There are many that we don’t even need now. Some don’t fit, some are out of fashion, some reason or the other, but our closet is full of clothes we do not want to wear.

And now, Alia Bhatt has come up with something unique. She is telling us as to how we can save lives by cleaning our closet. Yes, we promise, that is exactly what the ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ actress is telling us. (Also Read: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s conviction leads to disruption in Alia Bhatt’s ‘Raazi’ shoot)

Alia is the person behind an initiative known as Coexist, which is a step towards adopting strays and giving them a better life, at the same time caring for our environment.

So, Alia recently uploaded a video on her Instagram page, where she told us as to how we can clean our closet, ditch those denims that we don’t wear anymore, and instead donate them to the nearest Coexist centre, wherein they will be used to create reflective collars for stray animals, to prevent accidents. Isn’t it such a sweet and innovative idea?

Time and again, Alia proves that she is as compassionate as she is beautiful and talented.

On the work front, the actress is currently shooting for ‘Raazi’, which is being helmed by Meghna Gulzar. It will see her opposite ‘Masaan’ fame Vicky Kaushal. The movie is based on the novel ‘Calling Sehmat’ by Harinder S Sikka, which follows the life of a Kashmiri woman, married to a Pakistani army officer, who turns a spy for Indian army.
