Amitabh Bachchan Thanks Fans For Not Missing Sunday Darshan Despite Heavy Rains

In his latest Sunday blog, Bachchan shared photographs from outside Jalsa and thanked his admirers. The veteran actor wrote, “The rains do not abate… flooding continues… yes, Monsoon delayed, and now the water resources—the surrounding lakes—filling up… some difficulty to dwellers… farming… but this too shall pass.”

He urged everyone to prioritise safety, advising, “Be well all… be safe… venture out only if absolutely urgent… as in Mumbai… but in general too… all of you are too precious.”

A Flooded Jalsa

A viral video captured rainwater entering the Jalsa compound after heavy showers, highlighting the city’s ongoing struggle with flooding during monsoon season. The footage showed water accumulating outside the bungalow before flowing inside as drainage systems failed to cope with the intense rainfall. Mumbai has faced waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and slowed daily life over the past few days, prompting civic authorities to work on clearing blocked drains. Forecasters warn that more rain is expected, likely prolonging the challenges faced by the city.

Big B’s Projects

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for the sequel of ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ a sci-fi blockbuster directed by Nag Ashwin. The new instalment will see Prabhas and Kamal Haasan reprise their roles, although reports suggest Deepika Padukone will not return for this chapter. If DP had been a part, this would be her 3rd film with Big B.
