Anil Kapoor elated to be ‘grandfather’ as Sonam Kapoor announces pregnancy: Preparing for most exciting role

On Monday, Sonam Kapoor took her fans by surprise after she announced that she is expecting her first baby with husband Anand Ahuja. The couple shared the announcement via heartwarming pictures on her social media flaunting her baby bump and we still can’t get over it!

Sonam and Anand captioned their pregnancy announcement post and wrote: “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you. #everydayphenomenal #comingthisfall2022”

Soon after, Sonam Kapoor father-actor Anil Kapoor shared the photo on his social media and expressed the joy of becoming a grandfather. The actor penned a sweet caption, that read as: “Now preparing for the most exciting role of my life – GRANDFATHER!! Our lives will never be the same again and I couldn’t be more grateful! @sonamkapoor & @anandahuja you have made us happy beyond measure with this incredible news!”

After Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor mother Sunita Kapoor also shared the joy and wrote: “Of all the names I have been called am going to love being called NANI the best  Yayy! Can’t wait to to be a NANI !!!”

Rhea Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor’s sister and film producer also shared her happiness over sister’s pregnancy. “That’s Rhea Masi to you #everydayphenomenal Love you @sonamkapoor @anandahuja”

Meanwhile, Sonam married Anand in May 2018 in Mumbai after being in a relationship for several years.
