Thar: Anil Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor and Fatima Sana Shaikh team up, first look OUT

On Monday, Netflix today announced its revenge thriller film Thar. The movie will feature Bollywood actors and real-life father-son Anil Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor along with Fatima Sana Shaikh. The stars shared the first look on their respective social media handles and gave a glimpse into their characters.

The movie is set in Rajasthan that will pay a tribute to the genre of the classic Western is a first for Indian cinema and audiences. Thar is set to be released in summer 2022 on Netflix.

In an official statement, Anil said: “I am extremely proud of what we have achieved with Thar and am super excited about the film for several reasons. The genre itself – a noir thriller set in Rajasthan that pays tribute to the genre of the classic Western is a first for Indian cinema and audiences. Thar is a playground where the dynamism of new blood meets the experience of industry stalwarts, both on and off screen. On screen we see the fresh pairing of Harshvarrdhan Kapoor and Fatima Sana Sheikh”

Thar marks the directorial debut of Raj Singh Chaudhary, who has also written the film and is produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company (AKFC). Meanwhile, Thar marks the second collaboration between Anil Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan after Netflix 2020 movie, ‘AK vs AK.’
