Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher make for an amazing couple in real life. Their love is inspirational and the two are pure cheerleaders of each other. They have stood for one another in the most difficult times as well. During Kirron ji’s battle with cancer, Anupam ji was always by her side and helped her get through it.

Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher first meeting

While their love story is inspirational, it has had its ups and downs as well. Recently, in an interview with ANI, Anupam ji recalled meeting Kirron ji for the first time. Sharing details about it, he said, “She was a star already then. She was doing theatres, she was working in movies. She is an MA first class first. I met her in Chandigarh. I was a simple village boy. Apparently, there was no connection between us.”

Not just that, he also revealed that Kirron ji was already married and with a kid at that time. He shared, “She was married then and had Sikandar (Kher). We used to be best of friends and we did theatres together. Later when she had problems in marriage, I was ditched by the person I was going with, and then things started to change. But we always remain best friends first.”

Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher got married in the year 1985. Before that, Kirron ji was married to Gautam Berry and they had a son, Sikandar Kher in the year 1981. The ex-couple got divorced in 1985. Anupam ji was also previously married to actor Madhumalti Kapoor. They had their wedding in 1979 and within a year, they filed for divorce.

Kirron ji is more active in her political career nowadays. She won the 2019 general election from Chandigarh constituency for BJP. Whereas, Anupam ji is one of the busiest actor in today’s time. Last year, he gave one of the biggest hits of 2022, The Kashmir Files. Now, he will next be seen in IB 71. Apart from that, he also has The Vaccine War, Kaagaz 2, Metro… In Dino and Emergency amongst other projects.
