Several Bollywood celebrities came forward to offer their support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM CARES Fund for the country’s fight against Coronavirus pandemic. Now actress Anushka Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli have pledged their support to the Coronavirus relief fund. The power couple recently made the announcement through their social media handle.

Interestingly unlike several other celebs, Anushka and Virat have chosen not to reveal how much money they are donating to PM CARES Fund. Taking to the micro-blogging site, the ‘Zero’ actress wrote, “Virat and I are pledging our support towards PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps easing the pain of our fellow citizens #IndiaFightsCorona (sic)”

Her cricketer husband also shared the same message on his handle.

Though the couple refrained from revealing the amount they have donated, a source from within the industry informed Bollywood Bubble that the couple has decided to donate Rs. 3 crores for the fight against Covid-19.

The entire country is reeling under the coronavirus crisis and at this moment coming out and helping the needy ones is of utmost importance. Akshay Kumar was the first Bollywood celeb to announce that he is donating a whopping sum of Rs. 25 crores for the relief fund. Soon several actors came forward to pledge their support.
