Apurva Asrani original script of Simran

Unfortunately, after so much of hulla-bulla and controversies surrounding Hansal Mehta’s ‘Simran’, the film starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role has failed to make a mark at the box office. We all know that there was a big issue between Kangana and writer Apurva Asrani for the writer’s credit.

Well, even after the film’s not-so-great response at the box office, the controversy doesn’t seem to end anytime soon as Apurva has decided to post the original script of the film. When a Twitter user asked him about critics pointing out at weak script and if the co-writer (read Kangana) will take the responsibility of it, Apurva quote retweeted and replied, “We all need to take responsibility for #Simran, including myself. But my script is being posted soon. See for yourself what was intended.”

It will be interesting to read Apurva’s original script to know what all has been changed. And we wonder if Kangana will take the responsibility of the weak script that critics have pointed out. (Also Read: Apurva Asrani writes an open letter blaming pseudo-feminists. Is he targeting Kangana?)

‘Simran’ in four days has collected around Rs 10 crore which is surely a bad collection for a movie that has been made with a budget of Rs 30 crore approximately. Kangana badly needed a hit as her few of her previous movies have not worked well at the box office. But unfortunately, with ‘Simran’, she didn’t get the much needed hit.
