Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui creates a stir on social media when he dropped his new look from his upcoming movie Haddi. In the picture, Nawaz is seen in a drag avatar and fans couldn’t stop comparing him with actor Archana Puran Singh. A lot of the fans pointed out that the actor’s look shares an uncanny resemblance with Archana Puran Singh. Now, reacting to fans drawing comparisons with Nawaz, the Kapil Sharma Show judge thinks it is a huge compliment.

Archana Puran Singh told Hindustan Times in an interview. She said, “It’s the hairstyle which has become synonymous with me that is causing all these comparisons. I’ve used this side-parted look during the early part of Kapil show (The Kapil Sharma Show.)” When asked about the comparisons and how she feels about it, she added, “All I can say is it’s a huge compliment to be compared to Nawaz in ANY way possible.”

Speaking about his look from Haddi, the Sacred Games actor looks completely unrecognisable in a female avatar. The actor is dressed in a shimmery outfit with long hair with a bloodied pipe next to him as he strikes a stunning pose. Along with the poster, he wrote, “Crime has never looked this good before. #Haddi, a noir revenge drama starring @Nawazuddin._siddiqui in a never-seen-before avatar. Filming begins, releasing in 2023. (sic)”.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive chat with us, the Raees actor opened up about facing racism during his early acting days. He shared a horrific story of being rejected for his skin colour.

Speaking with Bollywood Bubble, Nawazuddin spoke about being rejected for roles. He said, “See, TV mein uss tarah ke jo realistic, joh crime pe jo series banti thi, usme mil jaata tha humein role. Ek din ka mil gaya kaam, do din ka mil gaya, iss tarah ka hota tha. (See, in TV, I used to get roles in series that were based on crime or that were realistic. I used to get work one day, got work two days, that’s how it used to be).

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui also has Tiku Weds Sheru, Noorani Chehra, Bole Chudiyan and Adbhut, amongst some more projects in the pipeline.
