Arjun Kapoor takes a dig at Alia Bhatt for ‘destroying the combined IQ of the film fraternity’

Alia Bhatt had single-handedly become the meme queen after her first appearance on Karan Johar’s famous show ‘Koffee With Karan’. Even today people take subtle digs at her for not having enough general knowledge. Recently, actor Arjun Kapoor blamed Alia for ‘destroying the combined IQ of the film fraternity’.

Alia had appeared on Karan’s famous show alongside her two co-stars, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, to promote their debut film, ‘Student of the Year’. During one of the Q&A sessions, Alia had messed up the answer to the name of the president on India. It was all downhill post that as she was the face of every meme to exist on the internet.

Recently, Arjun had taken a quiz by Film Companion, where he was asked the pincode of his area. The actor said, “Why would I not know? That is a really low benchmark to set for actors. People must be thinking, Oh God! That one question of Alia (Bhatt) on Koffee With Karan destroyed our combined IQ of the film fraternity.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in ‘Panipat’, alongside Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt. Next, he will be seen in ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ which was supposed to release in March, but owing to the COVID-19 pandemic it has been postponed indefinitely. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt will be seen in ‘Brahmastra’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor that also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in key roles.
