Lata Mangeshkar returns home after a long hospitalisation; sister Asha Bhosle says, “She is back and we are overjoyed”
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar recently returned home after being hospitalized from almost a month. Her sister and one of the most celebrated singers, Asha Bhosle got emotional upon her return. In a recent interview, Asha Bhosle shared how the entire family welcomed Lata.
In an interview with Mid-day, Asha Bhosle shared, “We were all there for her(Lata’s) homecoming,” and she seemed relieved after Lata’s return. “She is back and we are overjoyed. She is looking hale and hearty. I was looking at her last night, and at once, so many songs that she has made immortal with her voice came back rushing to me,” said Bhosle.
Also, a picture of wheel-chair bound Lata Mangeshkar posing with hospital’s nurses has been making the round of the internet.
The veteran singer was admitted in the Breach Candy Hospital when she complained about having issues with breathing that was later diagnosed as pneumonia.
Her fans had been constantly sending her good wishes for her speedy recovery. Recently, the singer took to her Instagram handle to announce her return. She expressed her gratitude to all her wellwishers and the team of doctors who treated her. “For the past 28 days, I was at Breach Candy hospital. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctors preferred that I extend my stay in the hospital and go home when completely healthy. My doctors at Breach Candy have been my guardian angels and I stand in eternal gratitude to each one of them. The nursing staff has been exceptional. Your endless love and blessings are precious (sic),” she wrote in her post.
We all are so glad that she is back home hale and hearty.
