The first celebrity wedding of the year is here as Suniel Shetty’s actress-daughter Athiya Shetty will tie the knot with her cricketer-beau KL Rahul today i.e on January 23. After dating each other for many years, the lovebirds will take their vows in an intimate ceremony that will take place at Suniel Shetty’s luxurious Khandala bungalow .

Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul wedding update:

Reportedly Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul will tie the knot around 4 pm today. The marriage ceremony will be a very intimate affair with family members, and close friends in attendance. Post the wedding the newlyweds will step out to pose for the paparazzi later in the evening. They are likely to host a grand reception later in Mumbai. Ahead of the wedding, a Haldi ceremony was held for the bride and groom today in the morning.

Rumours about that there will be around 100 guests at the wedding and the couple has imposed a no-phone policy. Reportedly Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and more are expected to attend the wedding in Khandala. Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, who is believed to be a very close friend of Athiya, is also expected to be a part of her wedding ceremony. If reports are to be believed, guests will be served lavish South Indian cuisine on banana leaves at the wedding.

Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul Sangeet Ceremony

Yesterday a sangeet ceremony was held at the venue and it was attended by many close friends of the couple. Tiger Shroff’s sister Krishna Shroff and popular Bollywood photographer Rohan Shreshta also attended the ceremony.

In February 2019 reports about Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul getting introduced to each other started making rounds. The two love birds had met through a mutual friend and were soon smitten by each other’s presence in their lives. But they never accepted or denied their relationship.
