Ayesha Khan

Actress Ayesha Khan, who shot to widespread attention with her energetic dance performance Shararat in the blockbuster Dhurandhar, has candidly addressed the comparisons being made between her and established stars Nora Fatehi and Tamannaah Bhatia. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, she shared her genuine feelings on the subject, emphasising admiration over rivalry while remaining grounded in her journey from social media to mainstream cinema.

Ayesha Khan On Being Compared

Ayesha Khan began by acknowledging that she has seen fans and social media users draw parallels between her and other performers, but she made her stance clear. “I have seen people who compare me with others. I’ve seen some reels of me being compared to Nora Fatehi or Tamannaah Bhatia. I feel like I would never compare myself to them. I’m always in awe whenever I look at them. Such wonderful women doing such great things in life. I could never do what Nora is doing; she is incredible.” Her words highlighted deep respect for both actresses’ talents rather than any sense of competition.

She was equally transparent about how such comparisons make her feel, pushing back against the notion that being likened to established performers would be flattering. “If anyone thinks comparison makes me happy, it will never do that. I look at everyone with so much respect because I am new to the industry. I’m still in the learning phase, so much I am yet to learn. These are the people who have seen so much in their lives,” she explained, reflecting a grounded and humble outlook.

Ayesha Khan On Tamannaah Bhatia

Turning her admiration toward Tamannaah Bhatia, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, Ayesha emphasised a similar respect for her journey and longevity in the industry. “Tamannaah Bhatia has been working since forever. What makes you think that I would ever want to compare myself or my journey with hers? She is an incredible woman doing so much for herself. As a woman, when I saw Aaj Ki Raat, I was like ‘Wow, what is this’,” she shared, underscoring that her response comes from inspiration rather than competition.
