Ayushmann Khurrana breaks stereotypes by keeping fast and putting mehendi of Tahira’s name

We all know that Karwa Chauth is an Indian festival where the married women observes a one day fast from sunrise to moonrise for the long lives of their husbands. The festival is observed all across the country and our Bollywood actresses are also not left behind. Today, the internet is replete with all the pictures and Instagram stories of the couples celebrating this festival. But ‘Badhaai Ho’ actor Ayushmann Khurrana has broken all the stereotypes.

Ayushmann has posted a picture on his Twitter handle in which he is seen getting mehendi done with the first letter of his wife Tahira. Here’s his tweet.

Awww! That’s so thoughtful of the actor, isn’t it? Ayushmann is a caring and doting husband to his wife who recently underwent a breast cancer surgery. Due to health issues, Tahira wasn’t able to observe this fast for Ayushmann. The actor decided to keep fast and put mehendi for the good health of his dear wife.

We must tell you that this is not the first time Ayushmann is putting mehendi of his wife’s name. Last year too, he got the Hindi initial of his wife’s name Tahira on his palm. His message on Twitter read – “त से ताहिरा. Let’s celebrate equality and change this patriarchal tradition. Join her if u can’t dissuade her from fasting. #KarvaChauth”
