Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan’s Action Comedy Still In Trouble? Karan Johar REACTS

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan gearing up to charm audiences with his next comedy film, titled Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film features Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. However, there are reports suggesting that another project starring Khurrana and Khan is facing production issues. Specifically, the shoot of their action-comedy, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, reportedly began in 2024 but has encountered delays.

Producer Karan Johar clarified to Hindustan Times, “This is not true. We have only 10 days of shooting remaining, and the film is on track for a theatrical release this year.” Additionally, the film that was initially scheduled for release in 2026 appears to have been postponed. Currently, Khurrana and Khan are filming Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, also starring Wamiqa Gabbi.

Earlier, film critic Taran Adarsh shared the official poster of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do on Instagram, announcing, “AYUSHMANN KHURRANA – SARA ALI KHAN – WAMIQA GABBI – RAKUL PREET SINGH: ‘PATI PATNI AUR WOH DO’ TO RELEASE ON HOLI 2026… Introducing the world of #PrajapatiPandey… #AyushmannKhuranna, #SaraAliKhan, #WamiqaGabbi, and #RakulPreetSingh team up for #PatiPatniAurWohDo.”

He further revealed the release date, stating, “The #MudassarAziz directorial will arrive on #Holi next year – Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Produced by #BhushanKumar and #RenuRaviChopra, with creative production by #JunoChopra.”

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is being positioned as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Pati Patni Aur Woh, which starred Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s last film was Thamma alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal. Sara Ali Khan’s recent appearance was in director Anurag Basu’s musical Metro…In Dino.
