Benny’s Journey Into Bollywood

Benny’s journey into the music industry was anything but easy. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he revealed that he faced numerous struggles early in life, which served as valuable lessons. When he began his career, music directors had little to offer him, and he often had to plead for opportunities, singing even in choruses without immediate breakthroughs. His fortunes changed in 2006 after meeting AR Rahman. At the time, Benny was working at a news desk and had only recently joined. One evening, he was asked to sing harmony—a moment he initially thought was a joke. However, that opportunity proved pivotal, transforming his career.

Catherine, Benny’s wife, is a lifestyle content creator, actress, and model who has appeared in various magazines and brand campaigns. When she moved to Mumbai, she shifted her focus from modelling to content creation. The couple met through mutual friends in Chennai and tied the knot in June 2016.
